In anticipation of the ’08 Olympic Games, EDC created a huge LED Sky Screen for The Place, a new 700,000-sq-ft. mixed-use retail center, developed by the Beijing Aozhong Xingye Real Estate Development Co. Ltd.

This unique overhead viewing experience is currently listed as one of the eight must-see sights in Beijing, along with the Great Wall of China.

Covering the entire street between two new five-story, high-end retail centers and two 23-story office towers, the Sky Screen is 2,296-feet long, 88-feet wide by 80-feet high, making it the largest digital screen of its kind in Asia.

The multi-function screen can broadcast live television or movies and hosts the biggest video game competition in the world.  The flexible format allows fresh images and shows to be up-loaded with ease.
