The centerpiece of Centennial Olympic Park at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta was constructed in less than six months.

Using a combination of stock decking and custom-designed demountable tensile structures, the Olympic Village provided a place for athletes, press and public to interact.

At night, the exterior was covered with projected images that enhanced the public concerts performed on the pavilion stage.
